Intersectionality Training
Moving beyond diversity to be intersectional
What is intersectionality?
How does an intersectional lens differ from the diversity framework?
How can we embrace an intersectional lens as part of our day-to-day operations?
Intersectionality training and workshop are specifically designed to guide organisations to understand the concept of intersectionality and to implement an intersectional lens as an integral part of their program design and delivery.
Drawing from our academic knowledge, professional expertise, and community involvement, our aim is to equip organisations with some practical strategies so they can move beyond the diversity framework in our collective effort to dismantle intersecting prejudice and discrimination so all people can feel safe and valued in the organisation.
Topics that we cover in the training and workshop include:
Unpacking our own positionality, power, and privileges through reflexive practice
Understanding the concept of intersectionality and an intersectional framework
Aligning intersectionality with equity and justice
Brainstorming ideas for practical application of an intersectional lens
Goals setting
Our training can be delivered in half a day (3.5 hours) or full day (5.5 hours).
